Ah Joy’e! I just watched your intro video on youtube, and am (super) bummed I haven’t heard from CBYX because I know we would’ve had a blast together, gah!
No worries though, I’m almost just as excited to follow your journey, as well as the others, in Germany. Best of luck, and be sure to keep in touch via twitter, etc.

Awwee that just made my day! BUT NO WORRIES:) you still have hope! I bet they will call you Sunday and be all like YO CASEY you got the scholarship & then we can meet! But I am very happy that no matter what the outcome you will me keeping up with me/us and that we will still be friends š xx
…Or not! I guess I have a few more hours, but I’ve pretty much settled on the fact I’m not going abroad. I can only hope something just as great is in store for me my senior year! Like being admitted into art school or graduating early… who knows š
Surely, you shouldn’t worry about your host family. I’m quite positive CBYX will match you up with a family just as bubbly and outgoing as yourself, and if not, why, you’ll just have to teach them your ways š It’s a shame you German friend had a poor exchange family, but don’t let that get to your head.
I can’t wait to hear what part of Germany you’ll be living in, and I bet you can’t either!!

I got accepted as well with CIEE CBYX!!! I so look forward to going in August! Can’t wait to find out who my exchange family is going to be; it would be cool if I got someone in my family who was a pilot or something (yes, I’m the guy from the interview who is obsessed with flying š I look forward to seeing you in Washington!

87 days, I know, right? Unfortunately, I don’t use social networking, because I just don’t have the time with all the things I do; no phone either (get that in Germany š I have the blog as well as email igorcbyx@yahoo.com . I check it very frequently.
Joy’e , I was thinking, before departure, maybe all the 2013-14 exchange students from near here would like to get together, maybe to go to some place like Carowinds (https://www.carowinds.com) or something? I just went there and it was awesome, so everyone could bring their families, and all of of could spend some “fun” time with families before they leave. Maybe after school lets out; could you please bring it up to the Facebook group? Let me know, Igor!
